New Look Winter Coat

Not only did I go out for cake and tea on Sunday, it was also the day I got to try out my new coat from New Look. I purchased it in the sale for just £20 and it is super cosy and warm! I really wanted a new black coat as my other one is quite old now, the lining is all ripped on the inside and most of the buttons are missing. This new coat is done up with just a zip so I've no worries of missing buttons and it fits so beautifully with enough room to allow me to wear a jumper underneath. I styled it with a jumper I bought in Topshop last year, black skinnies, a primark bag and a pair of leopard Vans. I absolutely love Vans off the wall plimsolls, they are so comfortable and you can get them in numerous styles which means that you can get a pair to compliment any outfit! I did have the original black Vans but they met their untimely end when I decided to wear them to a fair, not realising it was going to be extremely muddy! Needless to say they did not survive. I'm much more careful with these ones and they make for perfect footwear for a countryside stroll!

Our walk took us up near Old Sarum Castle in Salisbury, Wiltshire. We were a bit late to go and see the castle ruins but we could walk around the grounds and get a beautiful view of the city from the hill as well as the sunset. I'm not a fan of cold weather, nor winter at all really, but with a view as pretty as this and such good weather, it felt good to be outside.

Outfit of the day 24.10

I haven't posted an outfit post in a very long time and that is mostly due to the fact that I don't own a very good camera. I really want to invest in a good one soon, it's something i've been hoping to purchase since I left school and seeing as that was about 6 years ago now it's high time I did it! Until then I will have to make do with my little automatic and my boyfriend's iphone which in all fairness aren't too bad. I was ecstatic to try out my new coat today and surprise surprise it is featuring in this outfit post! It's a bit of a mundane outfit but I was running late this morning and all I wanted was to be comfortable and warm.

I cannot stress enough how impressed I am with this coat and it surpassed all expectations on it's trial run today so I am certainly looking forward to tackling winter in it. The rest of the outfit is Jeans, necklace and jumper with lace hem from New Look and shoes from Primark. I really wanted to get these shoes into a post as they are currently in Primark stores for a bargain £14.00 and considering how amazing they are, who can argue with that price! They aren't real leather of course and they have cute cut out sides but I am wearing them with black socks as I needed to keep my feet warm. They look great with a dress as well!

Outfit Of The Day #6

Shirt - George @ Asda
Jeans - New Look
Boots - Topshop
Tote Bag - Primark

This isn't quite my outfit of the day as it is from yesterday, but that doesn't really matter does it? Cool, well this was on the way back from work as i had to go in for a few hours, boo! It wasn't all bad though as the UK is nice and sunny at the moment so the walk home was lovely. Pretty much everything apart from the jeans were bought last year, but i'm all about recycling clothes - none of this wear once rubbish for me! I have also dyed my hair to have a slightly red tint to it, though i didn't realise at first that it is only semi permanent hair colour, ah well. It also needs a good cut but i'm not sure what to do with it, ideas anyone?

Outfit Of The Day #5

Shirt - charity shop
Jeans - Primark
Shoes - New Look
Bag - George @ Asda

My boyfriend and I are having a lazy day today, hence the rather simple outfit. We are just going to eat food and watch films due to lack of money, however it is one of my favourite ways to spend my weekend. I picked up this shirt a few weeks ago in a charity shop for the grand price of £5 - I know, splashing the cash right!? I used to buy a lot of my clothes in charity shops especially in university when money was very tight, you can find some real gems if you don't mind searching through the rails. You also get to justify your shopping habits with the simple explanation that you are also giving money to charity, which feels good right? Exactly. The other thing that I would like to point out in this outfit post is that i am not wearing boots! Shock horror! I know! Surprisingly I don't only own black boots, I own 100 other pairs of shoes as well it's just that boots always seem to get me through the unpredictable English weather. When the sun finally decides to stay for awhile you will start to see a wider selection in my wardrobe pickings.
