It's Getting Colder.

Valentines outfit.

Hello everyone, I thought I wasn't going to be able to post for quite awhile as I accidentally spilt some hot chocolate on my laptop. The screen went white, I started bawling my eyes out and a long phone call was made to my dad (who works in IT) that mainly consisted of him trying to calm me down. A few days later and she is working like always, I just had to let it dry for a few days with the battery out and now it's like nothing ever happened (although there are sticky keys...). Anyway, I have another outfit post for you today in the form of my outfit for a lovely Valentine's evening spent with my boyfriend. All items are a few months old unfortunately but they are so basic that you will most likely be able to pick up similar elsewhere. The playsuit is Topshop and the shoes are Primark.

My makeup look for the evening consisted of Rimmel Foundation, The colour Experts Naked palette eyeshadow and lipstick by MUA in shade 3. I would write a lengthy paragraph about it here, but I'll put up a haul post in the coming days for you as I've gone a little beauty made recently. If you are wondering how I spent my evening, my boyfriend cooked me dinner and we went out for cocktails. It was actually really lovely to spend the evening with just him and we didn't get wasted or anything we just enjoyed each other's company and had a laugh.

I hope you all had a lovely day taken or single. Why not comment below and let me know what you got up to?

Sunday Sunshine.

Just a quick post of my outfit from yesterday! I went shopping with my mum in Newbury, we went to the local 'Outfit' store there which is owned by Arcadia and basically has a selection of each of their brands. I ended up purchasing my outfit for my work christmas party after seeing a matching top and skirt on a mannequin. I really liked it and so tried it on and it looked great, props to Miss Selfridge for their excellent visual merchandising! Anyway, I did manage to get a good bit of christmas shopping out of the way as well and so I am now well on my way to getting it finished. Thank. God. I'm not the biggest fan of christmas shopping as there is always so many things I want for myself but I have to hold back. I'm sure everyone struggles with the whole 'one for them, one for me' situation and like I said in previous posts - it never hurts to treat yourself a little!

Have you got any of your Christmas shopping done? Why not comment below!

Christmas plaid.

I decided to do today's outfit of the day in the living room as it's feeling pretty festive in there at the moment, though you may note that the tree is currently bare. We put it up and all the needles are falling off, which might have something to do with it being 10 years old. Needless (no pun intended) to say we are going to have to buy another tree! That has not stopped my lovely mother going crazy with the decorations however and we are starting to feel the festive spirit within the house. Today's outfit combines a plaid shirt that I bought from F&F which is in Tesco, M&S Jeans, Topshop boots and a Primark cardigan. The only thing that is still available to purchase are the jeans and you can find the link for them in another of my posts - here. Unfortunately, I could only take pictures in the evening as I was at work all day and curling my mum's hair when I got home, so the quality is a touch grainy but I think you get the gist!

Have you got your christmas tree up yet? Why not comment below!

November Haul.

I know that November has been over for 2 days now, but I didn't get a chance to blog the things that I bought. You'll notice that I haven't bought an awful lot and that will be down to Christmas coming up and various things going on that I was invited to. I'm slowly trying to replace things in my wardrobe as i'm getting a little bored with it as well, which subsequently always happens at the end of the year and i'm also trying to buy things that will last. So here's some snaps of my November haul guys, hope you like it!

The skirt is from Primark and I managed to bag it for just £3 in the sale and the shirt is from H&M and is currently £17 in their sale online.

Both the boots and the hat are from H&M, the boots are £25 in the sale and the hat is £12.99 full price.

This is my new gym gear from Primark, I love the gym clothes that they sell because they are affordable, comfortable and very resilient. The also bring out new styles every now and again so you can build up your collection. I'm loving their bright colours mixed with marled greys and washes. It reminds me of 1980s exercise videos, so all I need now is a leotard and a massive flannel headband!

Outfit of the day 24.10

I haven't posted an outfit post in a very long time and that is mostly due to the fact that I don't own a very good camera. I really want to invest in a good one soon, it's something i've been hoping to purchase since I left school and seeing as that was about 6 years ago now it's high time I did it! Until then I will have to make do with my little automatic and my boyfriend's iphone which in all fairness aren't too bad. I was ecstatic to try out my new coat today and surprise surprise it is featuring in this outfit post! It's a bit of a mundane outfit but I was running late this morning and all I wanted was to be comfortable and warm.

I cannot stress enough how impressed I am with this coat and it surpassed all expectations on it's trial run today so I am certainly looking forward to tackling winter in it. The rest of the outfit is Jeans, necklace and jumper with lace hem from New Look and shoes from Primark. I really wanted to get these shoes into a post as they are currently in Primark stores for a bargain £14.00 and considering how amazing they are, who can argue with that price! They aren't real leather of course and they have cute cut out sides but I am wearing them with black socks as I needed to keep my feet warm. They look great with a dress as well!

Outfit Of The Day #6

Shirt - George @ Asda
Jeans - New Look
Boots - Topshop
Tote Bag - Primark

This isn't quite my outfit of the day as it is from yesterday, but that doesn't really matter does it? Cool, well this was on the way back from work as i had to go in for a few hours, boo! It wasn't all bad though as the UK is nice and sunny at the moment so the walk home was lovely. Pretty much everything apart from the jeans were bought last year, but i'm all about recycling clothes - none of this wear once rubbish for me! I have also dyed my hair to have a slightly red tint to it, though i didn't realise at first that it is only semi permanent hair colour, ah well. It also needs a good cut but i'm not sure what to do with it, ideas anyone?

Outfit Of The Day #5

Shirt - charity shop
Jeans - Primark
Shoes - New Look
Bag - George @ Asda

My boyfriend and I are having a lazy day today, hence the rather simple outfit. We are just going to eat food and watch films due to lack of money, however it is one of my favourite ways to spend my weekend. I picked up this shirt a few weeks ago in a charity shop for the grand price of £5 - I know, splashing the cash right!? I used to buy a lot of my clothes in charity shops especially in university when money was very tight, you can find some real gems if you don't mind searching through the rails. You also get to justify your shopping habits with the simple explanation that you are also giving money to charity, which feels good right? Exactly. The other thing that I would like to point out in this outfit post is that i am not wearing boots! Shock horror! I know! Surprisingly I don't only own black boots, I own 100 other pairs of shoes as well it's just that boots always seem to get me through the unpredictable English weather. When the sun finally decides to stay for awhile you will start to see a wider selection in my wardrobe pickings.

Outfit of The Day #4 - Casual.

Jumper - H&M
Jeans - Primark
Boots - Topshop
Bag - H&M

We've been super busy this week getting my friend's collection ready, yeaaaahh i only helped one in the end. In my defence my other friend wanted to get his done alone and to his standard, i did sew a few buttons for him though. I have a lot to post but i will start with an outfit post from today, it is finally sunny so i don't need a jacket, hurrah! You'll be pleased to see a lack of stripes though i'm still living in black jeans, i really need more colour in my life! Enjoy!

Primark Swimwear 2014.

If you like to watch your pennies, just like I do - damn savings! - Then I can imagine you are the type of person who loves a good deal and a cheap find. Well, everyone loves a bargain right? On logging on to my emails today I noticed one from Look magazine announcing Primark's new swimwear range. Now, I have always been a bit on the fence with Primark, they have some well-designed products and they have some that just fall apart. Then there is the extremely tacky stuff that frankly makes me question their hiring process…

That being said they have definitely made their mark on the industry and you can't deny that with time they are creating more and more appealing products. Their new swimwear range certainly shows that they've been doing their research on what the customer wants and that they still value diversity of customer as well. Their range is vast enough that there is 'a little something for everyone'. I’ve noticed there isn't a particularly concise theme running through this collection, but that is expected of Primark and it does give you more of a choice in what you want to buy. They've pretty much tried their hand at every single pattern and fabric possible as well and I can definitely see some key pieces coming forward that will go down well with those going on summer holidays this year. After all, you don't want to take an expensive swimsuit to Malaga, you want about 10 bikinis you can feel comfortable trashing as you know you'll be wearing them everyday! Not to mention, you want to know they look good and more so that you look good and this is where Primark hits the nail on the head and what it is loved for. Cheap, fashionable, and throwaway clothing. Above are my favourite pieces from the collection.

It ranges from £7-£10 for a bikini or swimsuit, to see the whole collection see Look's article - here. All pictures are from their website.
